Frequently Asked Questions for Learners
I know I’ve been added as a learner but I didn’t get my invite email.If you don't get an invitation from Dojo Learning then please contact support.
How do I login
Once you have completed the invitation process you will choose a username and password. When you navigate to the home page of Dojo Learning, click Member Login at the upper right. Then enter you username and password in the fields provided.
How do I create a username and password
In order to create a username and password you either need to sign up and you will be prompted to choose a username and password, or you will be invited to take a lesson and will prompted to choose a username and password.
How do I take my Lesson
When you log you will be brought to the lessons page. You can click on the lesson to take it.
How do I use the Chat
The chat has two icons on the upper right. When the blue icon is lit up the instructor is online and you can start a conversation in the box at the bottom of the chat box, then click speak. If the orange icon is lit up then other learners are online and you can start a conversation as mentioned above.
How to I access the chat archive
Next to the Lesson title you will see a drop down menu that titled "Jump to Chapter." Click it and choose Chat archive.
What is the lounge
The lounge is a place where you can meet other learners in a forum setting. The lounge is lesson specific meaning that each lesson has a lounge. Your instructor may post notes, comments, or assignments in the forum as well. You also may want to leave questions for your instructor in the lounge when they are not online in the chat.
How do I add a comment in the lounge
Click on the topic that you would like to read, find a conversation that you would like to participate in then read all the posts. At the bottom of the post you will have an opportunity to add to the conversation. Watch video.
What is my Journal
The Journal is a place where all the questions you answer in lesson are stored. You can review your answers by clicking on the Journal. If you are taking more than one lesson you can choose the lesson on the right hand menu to filter your journal entries by lesson. If you have an instructed lesson then the instructor can comment on your entries and give you feedback. This allows learning to be an iterative experience.
How do I respond to a comment on my journal.
If an instructor comments on one of your responses theycan respond to it by clicking Discuss to continue the conversation.
How do I upload files or videos to my journal.
If you instructor has asked you to upload a video or any other file to your Journal you will see a button labeled browse. Click it and a file window will popup. Navigate your computer to find the file you want to upload and click "OK."
How do I use my notes. | Watch Video.
On the left hand side of the lesson screen you will see a tab labeled “Notes.” When you click on the tab it will slide out and a text box will be made available to you to type notes. These notes will be stored for you lesson and can be printed, emailed, or saved online.
How come I can’t find my notes
It is located on the left hand side of the screen. It is a tab labeled “Notes.”

How do I create my own Lesson
On the lesson click on the New Lesson link. It will take you to the Table on Contents edit page. Here you can Add a New Chapter or Add a New Chat Time. To start creating content, add a new chapter.
Sharing my lesson with others
In the People tab you can Add Learner. An invite screen will pop up. Enter the learner’s email address and select the lessons you want them to take. Then click invite.
Instructing a lesson
Login into your Dojo Learning account and click the people tab. Click lesson’s I’m Instructing. You will see a list of lessons you are instructing. Click the lesson you want to instruct. You will see lesson that looks much like the learner view with a few differences. You can see your learners journal responses within the lesson. If you click on the learners response you will brought to the journal so you can discuss your learners response. You also are viewed as the instructor in the chat.
Can I move an object from one chapter to another chapter.
